Kitchen Design Stamford, CT

With views of the Manhattan skyline, this CT shoreline kitchen has a room with a view inside and out. Mixed materials like mahogany, marble, onyx and glass, painted and natural woods and metal hood create interest and drama. The kitchen design as well as the mahogany paneled family room was inspired by the elegance of yacht interiors. Designed to maximize water views, the pie shaped island combines the practicality of stone for working and the warmth of wood for the eating area. Building the cabinetry to the ceiling in a small kitchen provides maximum storage; a soft color for the cabinetry keeps the kitchen area light and bright.

“Our relationship with Rebecca spans several years. She was originally hired to help renovate our former house, but instead we changed directions and built a new home. Her work extended beyond the kitchen to include cabinetry in the Dining Room and Family Room. The kitchen is well designed and has an amazing backsplash with a beautiful, large two-tone copper hood. We get compliments about our kitchen all the time. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Rebecca has an amazing eye for color, fabric and texture and she made my life so much easier during the building process!!”
