I’ve lived in CT most of my life, raised my family here and have owned a design firm here for most of my life. There’s so much I enjoy about living in New England in but let’s be real…when the temperature dips below that of a perfect fall day, my thoughts turn to fleeing to warmer climates, so when a client calls with a new project in a sunny Florida it kind of makes my day.
This project consisted of a kitchen and 4 bathrooms in a Intercoastal luxury condominium being built in the Las Olas neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
People often ask me how get out of state projects.
The short answer is that many of my CT. clients purchase vacations home out of state or purchase property to build a second home.
But the real answer is Trust, Time & Travel.
Clients need someone they can trust, someone they have history with to be their advocate on an of state projects. So many decisions need to be made and many things can go wrong without a constant watchful eye on alot of details. In addition most of my clients are busy executives or families so they need someone that can devote the time to look after their project and travel on a moments notice to be on site when needed.
In addition, it’s now easier than ever to design for clients anywhere in the country with the use of online design platforms. These resources have made it easy to share information back and forth with a client and technology that allows me to create and communicate design concepts and virtual design product boards.
It’s made designing and sharing documents simple as well as drawing and sharing inspiration away from my studio a breeze.
